Atlassian shares quiet after big debut

Atlassian. Shares are up nearly 1% in morning trading, a quieter start compared to its Thursday debut, where the company’s stock closed up 32% to $27.78. The Australian-based software company kicked off trading under the ticker symbol TEAM, with an opening price of $21.

Alibaba. The Chinese retailing giant announced it will acquire the South China Morning Post and related media assets, including Hong Kong editions of magazine titles Esquire, Elle and Cosmopolitan. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Twitter. The social network says it will start showing ads to users who aren’t logged on to the service. Twitter estimates more than 500 million users visit their site without logging in.

Electronic Arts. The video game maker will launch a competitive gaming division run by former chief operating officer Peter Moore. The division will help create competitions around EA titles including Battlefield and Madden NFL.

Yahoo. The company’s vice president of advertising products, Prashant Fuloria, is departing the company, reports Re/code.
